Well, it depends on your comp and your T.V., if you have a video card with a standard video output, you can probably hook it up to just about anything, my laptop has a monitor jack on it, I guess that if the screen goes, then I could still use another monitor. My T.V. is a 42" LCD that has an input for a comp. A friend of mine got a new comp recently, and his has an HDMI output on it, I also believe that you can hook up a an HDMI to a Standard 15 pin monitor jack (DVI) as long as you have the right wire and or adapter if needed, however, although HDMI handles both audio and video, The DVI doesn't and you will still need to run a separate audio connection. I also think even if it's HDMI to HDMI, you may need to run the audio too because, chances are that the video card and sound card are separate, unless it's on-board and possibly an all in one or something. I know that your comp is a fairly new 64 bit system, so, It might have an HDMI, anyway, I hope all this helped a little, and sorry if, because of my comment you might just have to blow some money that you probably should save or use on something less frivolous than possibly a new T.V. if need be!
